The colors are starting to change as the cold weather sneaks in, and even though there is lots to be done in Sluiter Nation to prepare for winter, we are definitely enjoying autumn while we have it.Eddie has busted out his corduroy pants, long-sleeved shirts, and knit hats. This particular hat is a bit controversial around our house. I happen to love it (come on, it has EARS!) but Cort finds it a bit weird. Whether you love it or hate it, Eddie wears it because it's getting chilly outside!
We also tried to get him his first pumpkin, but the day we planned to go was very rainy and yucky, so for now, Eddie just hangs out with his stuffed jack-o-lantern. Look...he matches it!
And while Eddie reflects the colors of autumn, I make chili and chicken soup and pumpkin bars and Cortney dreams of having a free weekend to put winter fertilizer on the lawn and pull out flower beds and put up Christmas lights. And we both sip our warm coffee and wish the snow flakes stay away just a little longer.

Do you remember that that hat was Jake and joes? I think there was an outfit that matched it, or maybe not. Either way it is stinkin' cute!!
i DO remember that! The outfit that matches is WAY too small for Eddie...he never wore it because it was always too warm for it, but I loved the hat, so I kept it out. :)
the snow has to stay away for a least another month! Snow in October is just not right.
that dog hat is adorable..you know I am obsessed with hats, I hope you have lots for next weekend...he looks so sweet and happy next to that pumpkin, love it!
