It's Not All Cute...

I know it's hard to believe when you look at this little face, but not all his phases are so cute.
Sure he's adorable even with a boo boo on his forehead where he face planted into the wall...

And he's even pretty adorable when he is eating puzzle pieces....

And sitting in a laundry basket is a classic Cute Baby Picture to share with future girlfriends....

And seriously, how can you resist such a handsome little Tiger fan?

But...lately...that cute little guy turns into a BEAR at night. There are a few things that are going on with our wee one.

First, he is teething. Those top teeth have been nothing but trouble-makers for our little guy, and lately they are driving him crazy. Today he was even having a hard time eating his bottle.

On top of that the separation anxiety that kicks in around the nine month has hit our buddy. He cries all night unless he is held. He even cried at his grandma and grandpa's when he was dropped off this past Tuesday night. He sat himself by the door Cort left from and bawled.

Now, we think Eddie has a yucky cold or something. After a walk yesterday, his eye started watering and his nose started running and he has been coughing and sneezing.

It's hard to tell what all is going on with him, but we think we narrowed the problem to the above tri-fector: teething, separation anxiety, and a little bit of sick.

It all adds up to long nights and not a ton of sleep for us around here.

I know that sounds like it would be the worst thing ever, and sometimes we have a little pity party for ourselves and pretend like it is.

But.....

then....in the morning....

we wake up to this guy peeking out at us with a big smile on his face, and all the turmoil from the night before is forgotten.

We go about our day playing and laughing...

Until the evening when we cuddle up and hope for a better night. It's not all cute, but it's not all bad, either.
