Social Media and Sluiter Nation are Kind of Big Deals

As I stated before, this weekend was the BlogHer conference in New York City.  Sluiter Nation did not attend, however, in lieu of going? I WAS asked by one of my most favoritest bloggers (and a pretty awesome friend too) to guest post while she went.

Emily at DesighHERmomma is awesome. I don't even know how to express how honored I am to be at her blog today.  She was one of the very first BIG "mom blogs" that I read and...AND...I get to actually SEE her this coming week!

More on that later, but for now?  Head on over to DesignHERmomma and read how Social Media has changed my life.  Because it has.

Hey you. I don't remember how I found your blog; but I figured out somehow we live in the same area-*(ish) and I just wanted to say hi! I popped over to your guest post and it was fantastic. I just started really hammering down on the 'growth' thing after blogging happily, quietly, for 3 years too - it's amazing how much support is out there!

Aww..thanks so much for your sweet comments on my blog - HA! I feel the same way about the marbles - LOL! I had to laugh at that one. Hope you have a great week! :-)

Enjoyed your post. I'm completely Twitter impaired; one of these days, I'll get the hang of it, but I think it's a cool concept.

And thanks for setting the record straight... I always thought it was "Slooter Nation."

Great guest post! :) Isn't is awesome the friends you can make online?

Is it okay if I still read it as "Slooter"? :)

I started my blog for the same reason as you. It was public for a while, got an obscene comment and I took it private and then decided to open it up again anonymously.

I'm so lucky to have made such wonderful connections through social media. It has brought me closer to an acquaintance that I already knew in real life and introduced me to several wonderful friends through a discussion board that I regularly visit.

The stigma of meeting people online definitely is not what it used to be.
