For my first giveaway EVER I am teaming up with a close friend of Sluiter Nation: Mat Nyenhuis of M9design (currently based near Denver, CO). Sluiter Nation has been great friends with Mat since our high school days. Cort and Mat were inseparable! He was the best man in our wedding, and one of our best friends for life. He and I went to college together where he got his degree in Graphic Design.
Recently I asked him if he would design a button for my blog...he rocked TWO out for me (you know, so I can switch them up whenever I feel like it):
He also created some banners for my blog, but stupid blogger won't let me put them in (at least not that I have figured out anyway).
He has done graphic design pieces for beer bottles, event t-shirts, menus, and more. Check out his stuff on his site.
He also does freelance painting and Sluiter Nation has purchased MANY of his pieces over the years.
He did a piece for us shortly after Cort and I traveled to Seattle. We fell in LOVE with the city and now have a reminder of it, thanks to Mat, in our dinning room.

I like the Wrigley Field paintings (yet, I'm a Mets fan, go figure!)
1- I love the button- it reminds me of pina coladas on the beach...and hawaii, though I have never been there, it just does..oh and audrey wearing flowers in her hair. so I LOVE it.
2- I have seen mat's work before, also love, especially "six feet" because it reminds me of my kids and that every moment counts.
3- please tell me how to do that and I will.

I love the new look. It is so light and fun!!! Reminds me of sitting on a beach in Hawaiii...ahhhhh. I'd put your button on my blog but my template it lame. Boo me.

I just saw Mat's site and my husband would kill for the Tiger's scene. Any sports related one is awesome. Our entire basement A.K.A Mah husband's kingdom is sports themed related. Mostly tiger and piston and gulp Maple Leafs....
