As I stated before, this weekend was the BlogHer conference in New York City. Sluiter Nation did not attend, however, in lieu of going? I WAS asked by one of my most favoritest bloggers (and a pretty awesome friend too) to guest post while she went.
Emily at DesighHERmomma is awesome. I don't even know how to express how honored I am to be at her blog today. She was one of the very first BIG "mom blogs" that I read and...AND...I get to actually SEE her this coming week!

Hey you. I don't remember how I found your blog; but I figured out somehow we live in the same area-*(ish) and I just wanted to say hi! I popped over to your guest post and it was fantastic. I just started really hammering down on the 'growth' thing after blogging happily, quietly, for 3 years too - it's amazing how much support is out there!

I started my blog for the same reason as you. It was public for a while, got an obscene comment and I took it private and then decided to open it up again anonymously.
I'm so lucky to have made such wonderful connections through social media. It has brought me closer to an acquaintance that I already knew in real life and introduced me to several wonderful friends through a discussion board that I regularly visit.
The stigma of meeting people online definitely is not what it used to be.
