I'm Popping Up Everywhere!

So my new wonderful e-friend, Miranda of "Not Super...Just Mom", is doing a Guest-Blog-a-Palooza on Postpartum Depression this week.  She has had some great guest posts (including one by her husband on his take on supporting Miranda through her PPD). You should check out her blog just based on that!

Last week she asked if anyone wanted to guest post, and I said I would...thus starting our wonderful friendship.

I am not kidding, we really get along great!  Miranda and I share so many things in common.  We are both English teachers, we both have adorable little sons, we both have piles, we both have PPD, and we both enjoy diet cola (she likes diet pepsi, but I forgive her for that).

Anyway TODAY I am the guest blogger!  Go check out my post and her blog...you'll want to follow her, I'm telling you!

And holy cats!  I just found out part of this post will be featured on Postpartum Progress today!   It is a GREAT site/resource for anyone struggling with PPD or knows someone who is.

I am so honored to be part of these sites today!  Thank you ladies!!

Thank you for sharing your story. I read through it over at your friend's blog. I think you are not alone in this. My kids are 8 and 10now and I'm far from PPD, but I go through bouts of depression from time to time and that feeling you described about being trapped... I can so relate to that. I've quit my friends too. Anyhow, you are going to really help a lot of young moms out there.

I just loved your list, and I really did laugh out loud when you talked about the commercials for depression meds. It's so true that the way it is portrayed is such a limited view. A lot of women see those ads and since they feel they don't look or feel like those people they assume they must not have depression. The advertising does a disservice.
